Founder statement
KIMBERLEY DEMAGNY
“For 5 years now, I’m sourcing Caribbean arts events and working on the digitalization of 900+ Caribbean Artists with my online media Caribeart (+50 millions reach since 2018).
Nowadays, we still lack accessible global data around Caribbean Arts (visual art, music, dance) on the mainstream platforms and social media, and most of our 350+ cultural spaces don’t have an effective digital presence (website, google maps…).
Meanwhile, world’s leading cultural institutions are using digital solutions and innovative technologies in order to heighten the visitor experience, expand their local culture and reach a new type of audience. “
“It’s not a secret, Caribbean territories giving birth to some of the best artists in the world. We need to continue to bridge the Gap between Culture and Tech, to uplift our Caribbean Creatives Economy. This is the reason why I’ve created The Epicentrum. ”
